About Me

My Overview

As a graphic designer, I visually communicate my client's message with a commitment to quality and time efficiency. I am well-versed in print media, online media, direct marketing, and webpage development.

Our opportunity, as designers, is to learn how to handle the complexity, rather than shy away from it, and to realize that the big art of design is to make complicated things simple. -Tim Parsey

My History

I earned an Associates Degree in digital imaging and a Bachelors of Fine Arts in studio art with a focus in graphic design. I started my professional career in the prepress production area which quickly opened the opportunities to branch out in to the graphic design areas. I have acquired more than ten years experience in professional design competencies such as graphics development, layouts design for print/web production, general advertising, and electronic marketing. In addition, I have created media components (i.e., ads, banners, mini-web pages, and animations) for online courses, professional development, and company websites and other social media. Also, I have worked very closely with a company's Marketing, Sales & Communication team on modifications of existing designs in order to meet a client's commercial and promotional needs while maintaining the brand identity of the products offered by the company. I have worked with various clients including Michigan State University, Michigan Virtual University, Plug In America, and San Francisco State University. In my free time I enjoy the adventure of hiking, camping, traveling, and playing fetch with my dog.
